Join us on Main Avenue on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as the Continental Divide Brew Pub and NYM Cultural Center once again team up to bring you the 3rd Annual NYM Pickletoberfest — a FREE community celebration inspired by New York Mills’ pickle-making history and Oktoberfest traditions.
The event takes place outdoors on Main Avenue in front of the Divide, Library, and Cultural Center from 10AM–10PM.

Join us for an outdoor market featuring artists, makers, bakers, and creative businesses on Main Street from 10AM - 4PM. We're seeking artists and vendors to join in on the fun! Vendor booths are $25 each, first-come, first-served.

The Divide will be open normal hours all day (11AM - 10PM), serving a variety of pickle-themed food and drinks. There will also be a limited amount of Pickletoberfest merchandise available for sale -- get it while it lasts!
The Cultural Center will be open extended hours (10AM - 5PM), so you can enjoy FALL FUN both indoors and out. Check out the Gallery, peruse the Gift Store, and learn more about all the programs and events they bring to the community.

10 AM - 4 PM Outdoor art market featuring artists, makers, bakers & creative businesses
10 AM - 5 PM Explore our gallery exhibit & browse our gift store @ the Cultural Center
11 AM - 10 PM Pickle-themed food, drinks & fun @ the Divide
2 PM - 10 PM Fun games in the street include hammerschlagen, pickle pong, bean bags & more!
2 PM - 3 PM Homeade Pickle Contest - Crowning of the new Pickle Queen or King!
3 PM - 4 PM Brat & Pickle Toss
4 PM - 5 PM Pickle Eating Contest
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM Beer Festival!
5 PM - 6 PM Stein Holding Contest — Winner receives a FREE beer!
7 PM - 10 PM Live music by the Meat Rabbits outside on the street
You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs if you wish to sit outside and enjoy the music and festivities. Some tables & chairs will be provided.

A Little History on Pickletoberfest
New York Mills used to be home to the Theissen Pickle Factory, which used to host the NYM Fall Pickle Fest in the late 1950s & 1960s. In 2024, we decided to bring back this long-forgotten festival and combine it with the recently revived NYM Oktoberfest party! So dust off your lederhosen, dirndl, or pickle costume and join us for some good old-fashioned fun!
