Second Thursdays @ NOON
Join us for a monthly creative break designed to introduce participants to new art materials and processes. Held on the second Thursday of the month from noon - 1:00 p.m., the cost is just $10. Bring your own lunch and enjoy a beverage on us!
Classes are led by Artist / Cultural Center Artistic Director Megan Shirley-Ross.

- September 10, 2026 – Balance: Layered Gel Plate Prints
Explore how artists create visual stability and harmony through the arrangement of elements within a composition. Learn to use paper stencils with a gel plate printmaking process to create vibrate, layered prints. - October 8, 2026 – Contrast: Joomchi Paper Felting
Discover how differences in color, shape, texture, value, and form can create visual interest and impact. Practice using color and shape to create standout art pieces using a traditional Korean paper-felting technique. - November 12, 2026 – Emphasis: Model Magic Mini Portraits
Learn how artists create focal points and draw attention to important areas of an artwork. This month’s project is inspired by triangle compositions found within traditional Renaissance portraits. Create your own serious or silly mini version with colorful quick-dry clay. - December 10, 2026 – Pattern: Repeating Pattern Making
Explore repetition and design structures that create rhythm, organization, and visual interest. Learn to make your own repeating pattern design in a few quick steps to design your own “wallpaper.”
