Create Your Own Handmade Ceramic Stein!
Get ready for Pickletoberfest by creating your very own handmade ceramic stein! Join teaching artist and ceramicist Brad Wegscheid for a fun, hands-on, two-part Stein Building Workshop at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.
Whether you’re making a stein for yourself or creating a one-of-a-kind gift, this workshop is a great opportunity to explore your creativity and learn the basics of building and decorating with clay.
Workshop Details
Dates: Monday, September 14 & Monday, September 21, 2026
Time: 5:30–7:30 PM both evenings
Class Fee: $60 per person
Maximum Enrollment: 15 participants
Location: New York Mills Regional Cultural Center
Two Sessions, One Unique Stein
Session 1 – Build & Decorate | September 14
Participants will build their own ceramic stein and add decorative details with guidance from Brad.
Session 2 – Glaze | September 21
Participants will return to glaze their finished pieces, adding their own custom colors before the steins are fired.
Brad will fire the completed steins, and all finished pieces will be ready for pickup in time for Pickletoberfest (October 3, 2026)!
