8-week Yoga Series Wednesdays & Fridays Gentle Flow & Slow Flow Open to All Levels

The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center is excited to bring yoga classes back to our community, and welcome Bobbi Jo Hamilton as a new yoga instructor.

Bobbi Jo brings a somatic, body-centered approach to yoga, combining gentle movement with mindfulness, breathwork, and self-compassion practices. Bobbi Jo is a LICSW and owner of Northwoods Velvære Studio. With her background in mental health therapy and several years of yoga teaching experience, Bobbi Jo creates a safe, supportive space for students of all levels.


UPDATE 11/7/25: Wednesday Gentle Flow Yoga Moving to Evenings!

In order to be more accessible to our community, we will be moving our Wednesday Gentle Yoga classes to Wednesday evenings, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to join us for a gentle wrap-up to your day, starting on Wednesday, November 12, and continuing weekly through Wednesday, December 17. PLEASE NOTE: Class will be held in the morning on Wednesday, November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

During this 8-week Yoga Series, classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Friday mornings from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., starting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and continuing through Friday, December 19, 2025, in the upstairs studio at the Cultural Center (24 N Main Ave, NYM). 2 Class Options This Fall 2025

Gentle Flow – Wednesday evenings 6-7pm
A soft, nurturing class designed to slow down, stretch, and move with ease. Gentle Flow emphasizes relaxation, breathwork, and mindful movement. Perfect for beginners, seniors, or anyone seeking a restorative experience that supports flexibility, balance, and self-compassion.

Slow Flow – Friday mornings 10-11am
A steady, mindful practice that links breath with movement. Postures are held slightly longer than in Gentle Flow, helping build strength, awareness, and stability. Slow Flow is ideal for those seeking a grounding, supportive practice that builds resilience and confidence.

Students can attend either class or both — passes are flexible to accommodate your schedule.

All passes must be used within the Fall session (Oct. 29–Dec. 19, 2025). Please note Senior Discounts are for those ages 60+.

About the Instructor

Bobbi Jo Hamilton is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), yoga teacher, and owner of Northwoods Velvære Studio. She brings a body-centered, somatic approach to yoga, emphasizing mind-body connection, stress relief, and self-compassion. Bobbi Jo’s classes provide a safe and welcoming environment for beginners and experienced students alike.
